Few people have updated their iPhone or iPod Touch to version 3.1.3

Saturday, February 27th, 2010

A few days ago Apple released a new firmware update for iPhone and iPod Touch. It was a minor update that corrected minor problems with the devices.

Now comes a study saying that only 14% of users have updated their devices to this new version. Clearly not everyone is interested in always having the latest firmware installed and less if this simply remove four trifles. Most of them want to Unlock Iphone 3GS to get free applications.

Anyway we think that there is still a short time since its launch this update and does not equally affect all devices on the market. For example, the update fixes a problem with the battery indicator, but only in the model 3GS. Other common things could be compatible with some applications from the AppStore, but really if we use works well Is it necessary to have the firmware in the latest version forever?

In my case I have the iPhone in version 3.1.3, but mostly to see how they corrected the problem of the battery measured. The truth in my case I have not noticed big differences after installation, so it really worth the bother?
